ANNOUNCEMENT: TREE PLANTING IN AYIOS THERAPON
In July 2025, when devastating wildfires struck the mountainous communities of Limassol, we made a commitment: our support would not remain in words alone. We pledged to return and help restore the natural wealth of the region and bring life back to the affected areas.
The time has come to honor that commitment.
AGPLAW is joining forces with Green Shield Cyprus and the You Reforest Cyprus program to plant 2,000 trees starting with the community of Ayios Therapon, Limassol, on Sunday, 8 February 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
Together, we will send a message of unity, responsibility, and hope:
Our land will be green again!
Our goal: 2,000 trees
We invite everyone who wishes to actively contribute to the reforestation to adopt their own trees for the event through the program:

The adoption/sponsorship of trees is strictly intended to support the organization’s cause. The organization delivers practical and tangible results, providing greenhouses and the care for the trees, ensuring irrigation of the tree-planting sites, and coordinating all organizations and communities involved in the reforestation efforts across Cyprus.

The event is open to everyone: organized groups, individuals, schools, families, and citizens of all ages and backgrounds. Together, we send a message of unity, responsibility, and hope:

Location: Agios Therapon Community – Limassol District
Meeting Point & Parking:
Meeting: Outside the Agios Therapon Community Council.
Parking: We suggest parking your vehicle further down the main road and walking up to the Community Council to avoid congestion Attire: Please wear comfortable clothes and suitable shoes for walking on uneven and muddy ground.
Team Coordination: Outside the Community Council, Mr. Kyriakos Andreou from Green Shield Cyprus and the Community Leader of Agios Therapon, Mr. Charalambos (Therapon) Chrysostomou, will coordinate and guide the teams regarding the tree planting initiative and the day’s program, between 11:00–11:15 a.m.

Snacks and Water: will be provided by AGPLAW, Green Shield Cyprus, and the Local Community.

Additional Information:
Green Shield Cyprus has already ensured watering and continuous care of the trees so that our efforts have a long-term impact.
Additionally, on the day of the tree planting, free rose bushes will be distributed to all residents of Agios Therapon for their home gardens.
The event is held under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Cyprus, in support of the Plant for Climate program.
