SOTERIS PITTAS & CO LLC secures Ex Parte Free-Standing Injunctions in aid of Liechtenstein Civil Proceedings
SOTERIS PITTAS & CO LLC, announces the successful ex parte issuance of free-standing injunctive relief in aid and in support of substantive civil proceedings pending before the Courts of the Principality of Liechtenstein. These injunctions were secured in aid of counterclaims that our clients intended to file in two separate civil court proceedings currently pending before the Princely District Courts.
These free-standing injunctions were sought and obtained as a proactive measure to secure the effectiveness of the intended counterclaims, by preserving the status quo of multibillion valued assets, situated in Cyprus and other foreign jurisdictions, pending the ascertainment of the rights of the parties by the Lichtenstein Courts.
The ex parte issuance of the injunctions highlights the Courts’ recognition of the urgency and merits of our two ex parte applications. The complexity of this case required swift and strategic action, given the high-value nature of the disputes.
