During 2020, our firm advised our valued client, Pepperstone Group Limited, an Australian-authorised investment firm, in the establishment, authorization process of its Cyprus subsidiary, Pepperstone EU Limited.
Working alongside Pepperstone executives, Michael Pelosi (Legal Counsel), Dimitris Papoutsis(Legal Counsel), Rafaella Michael (Associate) and Ioannis Sidiropoulos (Associate) comprised the Financial Services and Regulation team providing Cyprus regulatory and corporate advice and assistance in relation to the Cyprus framework on investment services and activities applicable to the authorization of Pepperstone EU Limited as a Cyprus investment firm (“CIF”) by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (“CySEC”) and the commencement of its operations in late November 2020. Andrea Kallis (Partner) together with other members of the Employment department were responsible for respective matters.
As a global leader in retail FX and CFD trading, other Pepperstone regulated entities are authorized in jurisdictions, such as Australia, United Kingdom, Germany, Dubai and Kenya for respective investment services and activities as per the terms of their authorization.
