A Decree modifying the VAT Law to impose a 0% VAT rate on deliveries of some necessary products was adopted by the Council of Ministers on May 2, 2023.
Bread, milk, eggs, baby food, children’s and adult diapers, and feminine hygiene items will all be subject to the zero percent VAT rate.
It is made clear that enterprises must do a stock take of the aforementioned goods in accordance with the VAT Legislation.
The temporary VAT decrease on the aforementioned product categories will be in effect from the date the Decree is published in the Republic’s Official Gazette through October 31, 2023.
