Giorgos Landas LLC based in Limassol is seeking to hire a Corporate lawyer/Compliance Officer
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of contracts, resolutions, power of attorneys, legal opinions and any other legal document related to department.
- Handling, monitoring and dealing with all aspects of corporate transactions
- Ability to advise and issue opinions on corporate and commercial law as well as related fields of law and matters
- Meetings with clients and ability to provide them with the best solutions for their businesses
- Communication with the Registrar of Companies, clients, banks, and other relevant authorities
- Up to date with all the changes in the laws and regulations in several jurisdictions
- Ensuring compliance with AML regulations
- Coordinating and performing regulatory filings, procedures, and legal opinions
- Evaluating and monitoring the compliance of our customers with all applicable regulatory and legislative provisions
- AML/Risk Assessment by using our software
- Providing advice and guidance to the employees of the firm regarding the AML regulations
Qualifications:
- University Degree in Law
- Member of the Cyprus Bar Association
- CySEC Advanced Certificate and/or CySEC AML Certificate will be considered an advantage.
- Five years of experience in a Law Firm in corporate and compliance matters
- Speak and write fluently and professionally both in Greek and English
- Ability to communicate clearly and properly with associates and clients
- Ability to work autonomously and without supervision
- Able to work under pressure with client deadlines
- High sense of confidentiality in personal data and cases of clients
- Teamwork spirit
