The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has been instrumental in developing a voluntary framework for AI that promotes trustworthy and responsible AI deployment across industries.
A significant concern in the AI domain is intellectual property (IP) infringement, particularly regarding the source data used to train these models. AI systems like ChatGPT are trained on vast datasets that often include copyrighted material. This can lead to potential issues where the AI generates text or content that closely resembles the original copyrighted works, raising questions about IP rights and fair use.
