“2026 GT in the Community Days” initiative

For yet another year, Grant Thornton Cyprus brought its people together for its annual GT in the Community Days, which took place on 16 and 17 September, with more than 50 volunteers taking part in hands on activities supporting local organisations
Taking place across Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca, this year’s activities focused on creating meaningful connections through time, participation and shared experiences. Colleagues volunteered with SEANA, Agios Stefanos Foundation, Dikaioma Elpidas and Ronald McDonald House Charities, each of which provides important support to different groups within our community.
At SEANA, volunteers joined residents in pottery activities designed to encourage creativity and social interaction, while at Agios Stefanos Foundation, colleagues came together with participants through cooking and shared activities. At Dikaioma Elpidas, volunteers took part in interactive workshops including dance, art, play and social activities. Colleagues also supported Ronald McDonald House Charities work through preparing meals for families of seriously ill children.
Commenting on this year’s initiative, Marlen Kilaniotou Patzinakou, CSR Champion at Grant Thornton Cyprus, said: “GT in the Community is about giving our time and being present in the communities around us. What makes these days particularly valuable is the opportunity to connect with people, share experiences and contribute in simple yet meaningful ways. I am incredibly proud to see so many of our people volunteering again this year and embracing the initiative with such enthusiasm and care.”
While the annual GT in the Community Days provide a dedicated opportunity for colleagues to volunteer together, Grant Thornton Cyprus’ commitment to community impact extends throughout the year. Further activities are already planned for the coming months, giving more people across the Firm the opportunity to get involved and support causes and organisations making a difference in Cyprus.
