GDPR Practical Seminar: Applying GDPR in Practice for Legal and Compliance Professionals
As businesses continue to process increasing amounts of personal data, GDPR compliance remains a major operational and legal priority across Europe. Yet for many organisations, understanding GDPR principles is only part of the challenge. Applying them in practice, especially when drafting agreements, reviewing clauses, and managing data protection risks, is where many professionals struggle.
To address this gap between theory and practice, ELTC – European Legal Training Centre is organising a practical online seminar titled “GDPR Practical Seminar: Making GDPR Work – Drafting and Reviewing Key Documents”, taking place on 20 May 2026.
The seminar is designed for lawyers, compliance professionals, corporate administrators, HR professionals, consultants, and business professionals who want a more applied understanding of GDPR compliance. Rather than focusing purely on legislation, the course emphasises real-world implementation through practical exercises, case studies, and drafting workshops.
Participants will explore how GDPR principles operate in day-to-day business activities, while learning how to structure and review Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), identify problematic clauses, and draft essential contractual provisions such as breach notification clauses, confidentiality obligations, and audit rights.
The seminar will also analyse real GDPR enforcement cases, helping attendees understand how organisations can avoid common compliance failures and regulatory penalties. This practical approach reflects the increasing demand for professionals who can confidently translate GDPR requirements into operational and contractual processes.
The course will be delivered live online via Zoom and offers 4 verified CPD points. The instructor, Andria Papageorgiou, brings experience in legal practice, compliance, and regulatory training.
According to ELTC, the seminar aims to provide participants with practical GDPR drafting skills and greater confidence in identifying and mitigating data protection risks within their organisations.
