Discover the Fully Funded Business Development Training by ELTC for Law Firms in Cyprus
The European Legal Training Centre (ELTC) is offering a fully funded training programme aimed at helping law firms in Cyprus strengthen their business development strategies and adapt to a more competitive legal landscape.
As the legal sector continues to evolve, traditional approaches to growth are proving insufficient on their own. Law firms are increasingly required to adopt structured, forward-looking strategies that go beyond reputation and referrals, focusing instead on positioning, client targeting, and long-term sustainability.
In response to these changes, ELTC has launched the course Disrupt or Be Disrupted: Innovative Business Development for the Modern Law Firm. The programme is designed for law firm leaders, partners, and professionals responsible for driving growth and client development within their organisations.
The course focuses on practical application. Participants will complete 14 hours of expert-led training that explores modern business development strategies tailored specifically to the legal sector. Areas covered include identifying and targeting the right clients, building a clear and competitive market position, and aligning internal teams with growth objectives.
A distinguishing element of the programme is the inclusion of four hours of private consultation sessions. These sessions are dedicated to each participating firm, allowing for a detailed review of existing practices and the development of tailored strategies aligned with international standards.
The training is delivered by a seasoned expert in legal business development who has worked with lawyers across multiple jurisdictions and previously led business development for a major European law firm operating in more than 80 countries. This experience brings a global perspective while maintaining a strong focus on practical implementation.
The programme is fully funded by the Human Resource Development Authority, removing financial barriers for eligible participants. Upon completion, participants will also receive 14 Continuing Professional Development points awarded by the Cyprus Bar Association.
Observers note that initiatives such as this reflect a broader shift within the legal profession, where business development is increasingly recognised as a core function rather than a secondary activity. Firms that invest in structured approaches to growth are more likely to remain competitive in a changing market environment.
