I.FRANGOS & ASSOCIATES LLC is delighted to announce the promotion of Demetra Zannettou, Aleka Fasianou, Georgia Thoma and Nikoleta Pogiatzi to the position of Partner.
Demetra Zannetou
Demetra specializes in real estate, conveyancing, wills, succession and probate.
She has experience in real estate transactions for the sale or lease of commercial and residential properties. She advises clients on various real estate issues including landlord and tenant disputes, rent control and management committees, and has represented numerous clients in related court proceedings.
Demetra has broad and practical experience with the drafting of wills, probate, administration of estates and resealing of foreign grants.
She is a graduate of Kingston University, UK and has an LLM on International Human Rights Law from City University, UK. Demetra was admitted to the Cyprus Bar Association in 2006.
Aleka Fasianou
Aleka specializes in banking law, insurance law, receiverships, company liquidations and bankruptcies.
She represents major local banks, financial and asset management institutions in legal proceedings including, inter alia, debt recovery, foreclosure and interim court procedures before first and second instance courts. She also has experience in legal proceedings brought for or against insurance companies.
She acts as a liquidator in various liquidation proceedings and advises clients on insolvency and examinership cases.
Aleka is a graduate of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and she is a Certified Insolvency Practitioner. She was admitted to the Cyprus Bar Association in 2012.
Georgia Thoma
Georgia specialises in corporate, commercial and data protection law.
She has experience in wide-range of commercial and corporate transactions and agreements involving, inter alia, the acquisition and development of real estate and hotel projects. She supports clients to achieve their goals through the provision and implementation of tailor-made legal solutions. She has also advised and represented clients in various commercial litigation cases including debt recovery and breach of commercial contracts.
Georgia has led the GDPR compliance projects of various kinds of organizations and businesses and is the appointed Data Protection Officer of our group of companies.
She is a graduate of King's College London and was admitted to the Cyprus Bar Association in 2013.
Nikoleta Pogiatzi
Nikoleta specialises in corporate, commercial and cross-border litigation and arbitration.
She advises, assists and represents clients in multi-jurisdictional corporate and commercial issues including fraud, conspiracy, shareholders’ disputes and other similar issues. Indicatively, she has vast experience in court applications filed in aid of foreign proceedings, initiating legal proceedings in recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments or arbitral awards and obtaining provisional or interim injunctions in high profile cases.
Nikoleta has experience in providing guidance and advise on legal matters relating to corporate governance issues.
She is a graduate University of Southampton and has completed her LPC in University of Law, London. She was admitted to the Cyprus Bar Association in 2014.
